Normally, this kicks in automatically when battery charge drains to 20% which may be too late if you&#8217;re out and about for a while to come.<\/p>\n<p>Anywhere, here is how to force battery saver:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 12px\">From the Start Screen tap <strong>Settings<\/strong>,<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to\u00a0<strong>Battery Saver<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that Battery Saver is turned on,<\/li>\n<li>Tap\u00a0<strong>Advanced<\/strong><strong>,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Tap the option\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Now until next charge&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the Windows key.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Hopefully that will see you through until you can juice up your handset!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s another quick tip for Windows Phone 8.
