In technology, Easter eggs can take on various forms such as hidden messages or a fun secret that would otherwise go unnoticed for most users. A couple of examples of Easter eggs are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the traffic cone in VLC wearing a Santa hat from December 18 through to January 1,<\/li>\n<li>typing <strong>do a barrel roll<\/strong> into Google to literally make the page do a barrel roll.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Android is no stranger to Easter eggs and the last few versions of the operating system are no exception.<\/p>\n<p>On an Android smartphone or tablet simply do the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go into the\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong> screen,<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to\u00a0<strong>About tablet<\/strong> or\u00a0<strong>About phone<\/strong> towards the bottom of the list and tap it,<\/li>\n<li>Locate tne row for\u00a0<strong>Android version<\/strong> then tap on it quickly until the screen changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Depending on the version of Android you are using you get a different Easter egg:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Honeycomb will show a bee saysing &#8220;REZZZZZZZ&#8230;&#8221;,<\/li>\n<li>Ice Cream Sandwich will show an Android in an ice cream sandwich costume (if you hold your finger on top of it then the screen will change again to show a bunch of flying Androids),<\/li>\n<li>Jelly Bean will show a red jellybean on the screen (if you tap on it a face will appear and if you hold your finger on the jellybean a mini-game\u00a0involving\u00a0floating jellybeans will appear).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This more than likely won&#8217;t change the world for you but nonetheless it is something a little fun \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What&#8217;s an Easter egg you ask?
