This can be annoying particularly if you have your own domain name with e-mail hosting and you don&#8217;t fancy having to use your ISP&#8217;s SMTP server for a number of reasons including but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>arbitrary limits on the number of addressees,<\/li>\n<li>arbitrary limits on the number of e-mails sent per given period of time,<\/li>\n<li>susceptibility of ISP mail servers toward becoming blacklisted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Anyway, most web hosts that offer e-mail hosting provide alternative port numbers just in case the standard ones are blocked. If you&#8217;re having e-problems with your hosted e-mail then this information might be useful to you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>POP3:\n<ul>\n<li>Default port: 110<\/li>\n<li>Potential alternative port: 465<\/li>\n<li>SSL port: 995<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>SMTP:\n<ul>\n<li>Standard port: 25<\/li>\n<li>Potential alternative port: 587<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Of course, these may vary between providers but you should find that this might work in most instances when stuck behind the imposed limitations of a given ISP.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s another quick tip.
