This is because you need to \u00a0change the zoom mode from the default of\u00a0<strong>i.Zoom 23x<\/strong> (intelligent zoom) to\u00a0<strong>Opt.Zoom 12x<\/strong> (optical zoom). You can change this setting as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Tap the two outward point arrows in the bottom left of the touchscreen,<\/li>\n<li>Tap\u00a0<strong>Menu<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>Tap\u00a0<strong>Record Setup<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>Tap\u00a0<strong>Zoom Mode<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>Tap\u00a0<strong>Opt.Zoom 12x<\/strong> at the top of the menu,<\/li>\n<li>Tap the back button at the bottom of the screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div>From here, you can enable time lapse recording by tapping\u00a0<strong>Time Lapse Rec<\/strong> and choosing the desired time lapse period:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>1 second,<\/li>\n<li>10 seconds,<\/li>\n<li>30 seconds,<\/li>\n<li>1 minute,<\/li>\n<li>2 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>If you can&#8217;t enable time lapse recording, you&#8217;ll also need to make sure you are in a compatible recording mode by tapping\u00a0<strong>Rec Mode<\/strong> and choosing one of the following 1080\/50i modes:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>HA 1920,<\/li>\n<li>HG 1920,<\/li>\n<li>HX 1920,<\/li>\n<li>HE 1920.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>Essentially, anything except 1080\/50p and iFrame will get you on the right track.
