Plus, I also show off the VW-CLT2 3D lens which teams up with the X900M to enable you to shoot video in 3D.<\/p>\n<p>The X900M packs in Panasonic&#8217;s 3MOS sensor technology which captures red, green and blue light in dedicated sensors to help minimise loss of light, improve low light performance and improve end-to-end colour reproduction. It&#8217;s also capable of 3D video recording provided you have the 3D lens (which I do) but if you don&#8217;t you can convert video from 2D to 3D as well (but it won&#8217;t be as good as capturing it natively). You might expect to have to watch your 3D content on a 3D television but you can actually play it back right on the X900M <strong>without glasses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of 3D, the CLT2 3D lens itself is pretty special. It differs from its predecessor, the CLT1, in a few ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the attachment mechanism on the CLT2 is now a locking me uses a lock rather than being screwed in,<\/li>\n<li>the addition of 1.5 digital zoom in the CLT2 compared to no zoom on the CLT1,<\/li>\n<li>some updates to ease the calibration of the 3D lens on the CLT2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Anyway, here&#8217;s the unboxing video for your enjoyment (and you can fast forward to 15:09 if you want to specifically see the 3D lens).<\/div>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"760\" height=\"452\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kBZEaaLyh4E\" frameborder=\"0\" type=\"text\/html\"><\/iframe>\n<p>FYI \u2013 the video will be available in up to 1080p (YouTube can take a little while to process the higher resolutions) if you right click on the video and choose \u201cWatch on YouTube\u201d and change the resolution setting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new first for the blog &#8211; a double unboxing!
