I&#8217;ve just called mine Win8 but you can use any descriptive name you fancy. I have 12GB of RAM in my computer so I have a bit of breathing room but 2GB is sufficient provided you have enough RAM in your computer. For the purposes of this exercise just leave it set to &#8220;dynamically allocated&#8221;. This option will only expand the virtual hard disk file as additional space is required up the the limit specified on the next screen. Then we&#8217;ll need to tick &#8220;Enable 3D Acceleration&#8221; and &#8220;Enable 2D Video Acceleration&#8221;. Then, expand out the &#8220;Advanced&#8221; section by click on the adjacent blue triangle. You&#8217;ll want to make sure that &#8220;Intel PRO\/1000 MT Desktop (82540EM)&#8221; is selected as the &#8220;Adapter Type&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Once done, click &#8220;OK&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>So now, you have a VM ready to install Windows 8.
