Of course, no device is perfect (sorry Mr Jobs) and even these simpler iPods can get their knickers in a twist and lock up.<\/p>\n<p>Never fear though, there is an equivalent of the old &#8220;three finger salute&#8221; (or ALT+CTRL+DEL for those who are unaware of the terminology) that you can use to get things going again.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure the &#8220;hold&#8221; button is disengaged on your device &#8211; failing to do this will prevent the next step from working.<\/li>\n<li>Hold down the &#8220;menu&#8221; and centre buttons for five to ten seconds during which time your device should reboot.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You might not need to use this all that often but it&#8217;s worth knowing for the odd occasion that it does happen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s a quick tip for tonight.
