Windows 8.1 Upgrade Outcome
Well, it’s been a struggle over the last few days but I got there.
I’ve had issues upgrading to Windows 8.1 on my Panasonic AX2 ultrabook despite trying all sorts of solutions as stated in a prior update. It’s been frustrating given that my prior experiences in upgrading to Windows 8.1 were flawless but I finally overcome the problem.
Unfortunately, it took a clean install to get the upgrade to work on my ultrabook so I can only assume something was screwed up with my Windows installation that prevented an in-place upgrade from going ahead.
So, for anyone else out there that may be facing issues either you can wait for Microsoft to improve the resilience of its upgrade path to Windows 8.1 or go for broke and reset Windows to start from scratch.
