Check for Updates on Your Unbranded Nokia Lumia
It looks like updates are now going out for Nokia Lumia smartphones running Windows Phone 8 particularly if you have an unbranded model so it pays to manually check for an update if you’re keen to try it out. Of course, your phone will automatically poll around once a week for updates but it never hurts to give it a nudge.
The way you can check for updates is as follows:
- Tap the Window button on the front of the phone,
- Swipe to the left,
- Scroll down and tap Settings,
- Scroll down and tap Phone Update,
- Tap Check for updates.
You’ll find out quickly if no updates are available but if the phone sits there for a little while then it has probably found an update and is processing information in order to download and install it.
