A Smarter Way to Change Ribbon Tabs in Microsoft office

Very quick tip for today.

If you’re using a more recent version of Microsoft Office from 2007 and onwards you would have realised that the menus of old have been replaced by the ribbon. Granted, it takes some getting used to but a lot of people would find it hard to go back to the old way of doing things.

Anyway, the ribbon can be navigated by using your mouse as you would expect. Click on a tab and the buttons presented change. However, you can do the same thing without clicking a button.

If you use the scroll wheel on your mouse you can change the active tab in the ribbon provided you hover your mouse cursor over the ribbon. Scrolling the wheel downward advances you to the next tab on the right whilst scrolling upwards takes you back to the tabs on the left.
