A Faster Way to Google Now
If you’ve got a smartphone or tablet running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) or higher you should have access to Google Now which is Google’s response to Siri on the iOS platform. It’s pretty neat with its voice recognition and speech capabilities as well as anticipating your data requirements by showing you information cards after learning your habits (such as your commute to and from work and traffic between work and home).
Anyway, you might find it a bit fiddly finding the search bar in one of your home screens and tapping Google but there is a more convenient way.
If your device uses onscreen buttons just hold your finger over the home button and the slide it upwards until you see Google in a circle spring up from the bottom of the screen. Slide your finger up on top of this icon and it’ll take you to Google Now.
