How to Record and Playback a Demo in Team Fortress 2
Here’s a quick and easy tip for the TF2 players out there.
When your in an active game and you want to get a recording of your session there’s a simple way of doing that as follows:
- Open the console by using the ` key (to the left of the 1 key on most keyboards),
- Type in record demoname.dem where demoname is your filename of choice,
- Press Enter,
The demo will continue recording until you stop it which can also be done from the console by typing:
stopdemo
Finally, if you want to replay your recorded session you can type the following into the console:
playdemo <filename>
… where <filename> is the name of your desired demo for playback.
