It’s MySpace, Jim But Not As We Know It

If you hadn’t realised, MySpace is still alive and, well umm, let’s just say it’s still alive. Anyway, a few days ago I got something that ended up in my junk mail folder appearing to be from MySpace.

So I had a look.

The mail looks legitimate enough and it contained an invitation to try out the “new MySpace”. Hmmmm.

Anyway, I’ve signed up and I’m trying it out.

You know, they might be on to something particularly with the ability to “connect” with tracks, albums and artists and stream full length tracks as well.

I’ll muck around with it a bit more and see how it goes but the only downside so far is that it won’t work with older versions of Internet Explorer (at least when I tried with IE8 on another computer) – MySpace have blocked it citing that their site works best in Chrome or Firefox but IE10 on Windows 8 the site seems to load but music won’t play.
