Forcing the Battery Saver on Windows Phone 8
Here’s another quick tip for Windows Phone 8.
If you know you’re going to be a while before you are anywhere near a charger you may want to preemptively put your Windows Phone 8 handset into battery saver mode. Normally, this kicks in automatically when battery charge drains to 20% which may be too late if you’re out and about for a while to come.
Anywhere, here is how to force battery saver:
- From the Start Screen tap Settings,
- Scroll down to Battery Saver,
- Make sure that Battery Saver is turned on,
- Tap Advanced,
- Tap the option “Now until next charge”.
- Tap the Windows key.
Hopefully that will see you through until you can juice up your handset!
