Play Nintendo DS Games at Native Resolution on the 3DS
Here’s a quick tip.
The Nintendo 3DS and 3dS XL are compatible with nearly all Nintendo DS games however one drawback is that the graphics are stretched to fill the higher resolution screens on these later consoles. This can make the graphics look a little distorted or grainy.
Anyway, if you want to play a Nintendo DS game at its native resolution on the 3DS or 3DS XL just hold down the Start or Select button before launching the Nintendo DS software on the screen. The graphics should now be displayed at their intended resolution albeit with black bars on the screen.
