Opt Out Confirmation for the White Pages

Last year I wrote an article on how to opt out of receiving paper telephone directories and I thought I would write a follow up on how the confirmation of that opt out process works.

You should have received a card advising that the folks dropping off the phone directories were in the area but skipped your house because of the opt out request.

As the card suggests, the opt out will remain in effect for three years so you’ll need to let Sensis know if you move residence and want to carry over your opt out to the new address. At the end of three years Sensis will also contact you to check if you want to opt out again or choose to reactivate delivery of paper phone books (not something that I plan on doing).

So again, opting out is easy – just visit Directory Select and fill in the form. Save some paper if you don’t need the old school phone directories!

Wow. Never knew you could do that. Thanks. Been wanting to do it for years. I’ll have to let my friends know!

    1. Glad you found it useful! 🙂
