Firefox 8 Hits the Aurora Channel

Just a quick update for tonight

Well, Firefox 6 only just came out earlier this week and the Aurora channel has just ticked over from 7 to 8 in the last 24 hours. I am hoping to see improvements in the memory management of the browser at some point (particularly as it was supposed to be fixed versions ago). I’ve not noticed any major changes yet as far as the interface goes which probably means that the changes are largely “under the bonnet” at least for the time being.

I’ll let you know how it goes at any rate. Tomorrow, I’ll share a nifty little utility with you that will defragment the SQLITE databases used by Firefox to restore lost performance – stay tuned!
