Bring Desktop Gadgets to the Fore in Windows 7
Another quick tip for tonight.
If you use desktop gadgets to keep track of the weather, system resources or other bits and pieces that take your fancy it can be a hassle to move windows out of the way. Fortunately, there are a couple of ways to look at your gadgets without moving your windows.
The first was is by means of keyboard shortcut. Simply hit Window + G and your gadgets will pop on top of your windows. Very simple, straightforward and you can shoo the gadgets away by clicking on an underneath window. This should also work on Windows Vista as well.
The second way is to hover on top of the little etched rectangle in the bottom right corner of your screen next to the time.

If you hover on top of that rectangle, all of your windows will fade into transparency allowing you to see your gadgets.
