In the follow up to yesterday’s video unboxing the Panasonic Viera 50″ Plasma 3DTV (TH-P50VT20A) I also recorded an initial preview of the unit to show the various interfaces that can be found on the television such as the various sockets, buttons, vents and mounting points.
Importantly, I also cover the pedestal is fastened (if you are not going down the route of mounting the television to your wall, like myself). The box itself does weigh a bit and the television with the pedestal connected is just over thirty kilograms so it is definitely not a one person job!
As with the previous video it is available in high definition for those of you who would like to watch in the best possible resolution.
In the meantime, I am now in my review period (along with my wife) where I hope to evaluate the television as a fundamental 2D display device as well as its 3D capabilities (both 3D Blu-ray movies, PC gaming and perhaps some PS3 gaming if I pick one up). I am aiming for an evaluation period of four weeks before I come back and provide my thoughts and feedback on the device.
