As consumers, we always love rebates, bonuses and other free stuff thrown in to sweeten a deal. Sony has been known to throw in free PlayStation 3 consoles with it’s Bravia televisions every now and then and other manufacturers have had their own deals.
Anyway, if you have purchased a Samsung Galaxy S or Wave handset recently you can register to receive $50 cash back from Samsung. It’s limited to the first 1000 people so don’t sit around twiddling your thumbs! This offer doesn’t appear to be listed on the Samsung Australia homepage nor does it appear on the promotions section.
At the time of writing, 649 people had had their claims processed (which was before I had sent my entry in) so there is no time to lose! You can lodge your rebate claim here.

Meanwhile, we await a solution from Samsung for the missing three button recovery and download modes. According to their respective Facebook pages, Samsung Canada acknowledged the issue last week along with Samsung Australia. Samsung Canada has also indicated there would be further updates this week.
Keep your eyes peeled for further updates, this certainly is a hot topic amongst Galaxy S owners around the world.
